Good conditions for the Bendigo YMCA Harriers Alexandra Place cross country events conducted from the Notley's Reserve covering distances from 500 metres to 8 kms.

In the 500 metre event little Abby Perdon was successful holding off Mathew Buckell with brother Lachlan Perdon filling third place. Fastest time honours went to Chloe Green in the girls and Matthew Buckell in the boys.

The next event to follow was the 1 km event was a titanic battle for supremacy between Nathan Green and Zac Denahy as they raced to the line with Zac getting the judges decision taking first place by the barest of margins with Aimee Powell again running her consistent race in third place. Other good performances were recorded by Darby Semmens, Ben Powell, Gary Eagan and Abe McCloughlin.

The 4 and 8 km events were combined together with an out and back course, In the 8 Km Ross Evans after his success in the Veterans 40+ section of the Keith Huddle Memorial had a convincing win from Luke Hutchins who has been representing the combined Bendigo team putting in a solid performance to hold out the tough Ian Wellard just ahead of Peter Cowell. Good performances were also recorded from Michelle Stevenson fastest time for the women, David Semmens, Felicity Harrop and Wendy Stibbe. A sealed Handicap was held in conjunction with the placing's going to race sponsor Phil Brown from Michelle Stevens and Peter Cowell third.

The 4 kms went to Tony Fitzpatrick who last week was winner of the Fun Run section of the Keith Huddle from Nick Crome and Brenton Hassett a new comer to the sport in third place and is improving with each run. Matthew Cindric and Kirrily Burnett were also good performances with Kirrily recording Fastest time for the women in this event

Note athletes worried there time was slower than expected the 4km measured about 100 metres long and the 8km was 8250 metres.
